Abstract

The digital era has significantly transformed the relationship between law, sharia, and contemporary digital culture. This study examines how legal systems and sharia principles adapt to rapid technological developments, particularly regarding online privacy, intellectual property rights, and digital transactions. The research aims to analyze how law and sharia can remain relevant while balancing individual rights and societal interests in the digital age. Using a systematic literature review approach, this study evaluates existing legal frameworks and interpretations of sharia related to digital technology through academic literature and legal sources. The findings indicate that digital technology has created increasingly complex legal and ethical challenges, especially in online interactions and e-commerce activities. As a result, adaptive and dynamic legal approaches are necessary to maintain legal certainty and social justice. The study concludes that policymakers should develop responsive legal frameworks that integrate technological advancement with legal and ethical considerations. This research contributes to understanding the evolving interaction between law, sharia, and digital culture in an increasingly digitalized society.
